The Delta 44 is a simple, high-quality audio PCI card.
It supports 4 mono audio inputs (2 stereo) and 4 mono outs (again, 2 stereo).
It comes with a break-out box.

It records audio much better than the Sound Blaster Live.
I've never hear any noise or artifacts due to the Delta 44.
The break-out box is very simple.
It doesn't have a volume knob or headphone jack.
I replaced it with the Omni I/O, which gives me those and more.
I haven't had any problems with the Delta 44.
Any pops and clicks and stability issues I've had I attribute to my old DAW's motherboard, which was (and still is) super-flaky.
