This is the printable cover for Battle of the E-Bands.
Since I use it to make labels, it's tailored to my printer and browser (IE7) settings. It might not look or print as nicely on your PC.
I suggest you try a print preview and/or low-ink draft print before trying to print actual labels.
Make sure you configure your browser to print backgrounds, or the images won't print.
Set your left/right printer margins to 0.75 and your top/bottom margins to 0.50.
I'd had the idea for years: a battle of the bands, where I'd play all the partipants, giving each one a distinct style.
Ambitious? Yes.
Achieved? Well...
It took forever to get started, a problem with all the recent albums. Work, kids, and now cats... Too many distractions, too few blocks of uninterruptable time.
And then in September I got a GoPro, and a new hobby was born: filming walks, jogs, and bike rides. Learning this new hobby consumed countless after-work hours in 2021, hours that normally would've gone to music.
By early December, I'd only recorded 4 songs. I managed to get 2 more done, but not enough to finish the album. Sigh. No album in 2021. Ditto for 2022.
It wasn't until August 2023 that I recorded the final song. I listened to the album, but hated the mix on most of the songs. Fixing them all would take a lot of time...
Then the video hobby kicked into high gear when I started the Tripalot channel. I put music on hold while I focused on publishing the first batch of videos.
This videos took 6 months to finish, so it wasn't until May 2024 that I finally had time to remix the album. It took a month, but finally it's done!
And it sounds nothing like what I'd originally envisioned, neither live nor a variety of bands. It's yet another Tripecac album. Some good moments, some bad, lots of "meh" in between. Well at least the mix isn't as horrible as it was back in 2023. Or is it? I don't know. I'm tired!!!
