you want me to explain these trex projects first 1 is taking tapes that kim gave me and i'm digitizing them step 2 is i then edit them break 'em up write down the words for them all put them on a website that takes forever and most of the stuff is junk which is so frustrating but that's the story of trex isn't it but i'm telling ya this old stuff is really bad i mean not like this this is excellent what i'm doing right now yeah right trex is so much work so i got those 2 projects that's just her tapes trex number 3 is me recording new stuff right now this is what i'm doing i don't know why the mics weren't panned correctly i just panned them correctly i don't know what i just did they were leaking a little bit onto each other uh new stuff yeah right and then the 4th one is digitizing those and the 5th is going through those and putting them online so really there are 5 trex projects all at one time and it's extremely frustrating because i'm dead tired meanwhile there's tripecac and in tripecac i'm contending with sonar 7 weirdness at the same time i'm geting really bored with the templates i've been using so i'm trying to deal with the triton and the possibility of putting new songs on there i know this is talking this is boring i'm just saying i'm at a point where i'm doing so much at once musically i don't know if i'm gonna look back on 2007 and say gee wiz that was a heck of a year or if i'm gonna say good god i was depressed i mean i'm not depressed but you know what i mean i'm gonna say good god i was worn out whatever or good god that's sloppy good god where's the soul in the music it seems like all this energy goes into the documenting and the manual labor here and there's not a whole of lot energy left for energy that's how i feel now i will say that when i did that little song for grampa when he died i felt that you know i don't feel what i just did except you know it's just like a catharsis but in a sort of wimpy not really effective way 'cause obviously i'm not at peace right now so my point is i'm just exhausted 'cause there's also travart i just don't know how i'm gonna do it you know it's 2007 october 26 i still don't know how to do travart some of that stuff is over 20 years old now i don't know how i'm gonna represent it gosh i didn't really mean to talk so much

how about i pick up the guitar i'm gonna play the guitar and i'm gonna talk a bit about how i feel maybe something's gonna come out this is gonna be trex worthy i doubt it i kinda doubt it 'cause all i do on guitar is hit the e really hard and just bang away i mean that's really my thing i'll repeat what i said maybe this will go on trex so right now i have 5 trex projects right now i have 5 trex projects the 1st is taking the stuff that kim gave me back at jessica's wedding and putting onto the hard drive the 2nd is then taking those files and splitting them up on a song by song basis editing out the bad bits of each song writing down the lyrics create an xml file and then putting them all together on the trex website that's the long process that's where most of my musical time these days is going it's going to that number 2 that's true and number 3 that's what i'm doing right now you can hear me just playing and playing and playing and playing trying not to make too much mess 'cause i'm just gonna have to clean it up later trying to have good performance but it doesn't always work 'cause i can't always have the creative discipline that i wish i had step 4 is i take those files and i put them on the computer just like i am doing to the tapes from kim and then step 5 is taking those files and splitting them up editing out the bad bits and writing down the lyrics creating the xml files completing the album and putting them on line that's step 5 number 5 it's a wonder that i am still alive and then on top of that we have tripecac in addition to trying to finish this album which has been taking forever it's called whatcom home started i think in september or july something like august maybe i don't remember it's been so long finishing whatcom home on top of that i just recently 'bout a month ago installed sonar 7 and it's been far from heaven got the bugs and i'm trying to troubleshoot posting almost every day on the sonar 7 forum hoping for answers some of the bugs have been fixed and hopefully the rest will be addressed in patches yeah but then there's another thing and that's thinking of my triton trying to come up with some interesting templates to keep my ears engaged engaged so i can get in a trance when i'm playing the music so i can be engaged engaged so that's 8 things going on that's 8 things that's too much that's 8 things going on i'll enumerate them 1 is digitize tapes from kim 2 is turn them into xml 3 is digitize tapes from now 4 is putting those online 5 is recording is recording new stuff 6 is finishing whatcome 7 is dealing with sonar 7 and 8 is dealing with the triton template 8 things too much it's too much and then on top of that i'm trying to define how i'm gonna implement and present travart and i'm also trying to decide if it is time to get into video editing so you see there's you know jessica's wedding video that i'm gonna have to up date and that means there's 10 things for me to do there's 8 musical ones there's travart and then there's video 10 little children all biting my ankles at the same time and i'm tired i'm very tired but i'm still standing but this is the result introverted me talking to a tape recorder this is the result of those 10 ankle biters bye bye
