Software project tracking and oversight will be managed by the Project Software Manager. His job will be to track and review the software accomplishments and results against the documented plan, and adjust the plan based on actual accomplishments and results.
The documented software development plan, managed by the Software Development Plan Manager, will be used as the basis for tracking the software project. All project members are responsible for keeping the Project Software Manager abreast of the project's status and issues. When the plan is not being achieved, the Project Software Manager will direct changes, either by adjusting performance or adjusting the plan. No changes will be made to the plan or to existing software commitments without the involvement and agreement of the entire project group.
The Project Software Manager, with group input, will assign responsibility for software work products. Once assigned a software module to work on, individual group members must keep the rest of the group abreast of work progress.
The group will meet 3 times a week: Tuesday and Thursdays at 3:30 PM and Wednesdays at 10:00 AM. Additionally, every Friday each member of the group will forward to the rest of the group a progress report on the current status of their work progress.
The Project Software Manager, with group input, will manage the list of Top 5 Risks. The risks will be maintained in the Software Development Plan
