Incursion

Incursion ( http://www.incursion-roguelike.net/ ) has got to have one of the most over-the-top character creation system of any roguelike. Or game, for that matter. The number of pages you have to go through is ridiculous, almost as if it's a parody of role playing games.
By the time you finally start playing the game, you are "invested" in that character, simply because you don't want to have to go through that process again. And yet, you know you made mistakes in creating your character, so you KNOW you will be seeing those screens again.
Inventory management is similarly complex. You have to choose which slots things fill.
Realistic? Yes.
Fun? Not yet.
I'll let you know what I think once I get a little further.
