Notes
I think this was another practice at Anand's. No Allen this time either, so again we had to use my keyboard drums.
The highlight is the first full version of "Aren't You Sorry". I also like the way the early version of "Drizzle" sounds. Overall, the sound is actually really good.

It sounds like we were learning as we went along. I think by "snag" I meant move to some part of the song. I've never used that term (musically) since then. Weird.
Lyrics to "Demian (3)":
TRAV: demian LUKE: give us cues TRAV: snag can you play it higher? snag hit snag bridge demian, the youth enlightened eva's son who bears the mark something spawn, a simple shepherd something of the light and dark demian god loves you, demian can you play the ninth? hit hit hit a minor, a minor snag b e let's try the bridge again ??? so we snag demian, the youth enlightened eva's son who bears the mark satan's spawn, a simple shepherd ??? light and dark god loves you, demian gotta blaa blaa blaa blaa a minor

Again, Allen wasn't there, and again, I made a joke about it. This time Anand joined me in the hilarity.

This is a decent version. Luke's vibe solo is pretty cool.
Allen wasn't really there. I played the bass line with my left hand and the piano part with my right.
Lyrics to "Fireflyz (2)":
TRAV: allen foster on bass give him a hand ANAND, TRAV: wooh! TRAV: now! LUKE: play it, allen TRAV: here's luke and here's anand and here's allen foster on the bass, by himself go allen! and here we go again

This is our first full version of "Aren't You Sorry". It's a vocal version of "Old Reggae Song", which we played before Jon joined us in 1989.
Luke and I did the vocals. We were a little negative about Jon, but not as bad as in Dead Practice 1.
The good news is the music. It's very bouncy. I was in the poppiest phase of my songwriting. Luke and Anand did a great job of bouncing along with me.
Lyrics to "Aren't You Sorry (2)":
CHORUS: aren't you sorry that you left jon, left jon? aren't you sorry that you left all this? the anchovies are not dead yet, dead yet we're not dead so suck on this VERSE: jon you're a [censored] CHORUS: aren't you sorry that you left jon, left jon? aren't you sorry that you left all this? the anchovies are not dead yet, dead yet we're not dead so suck on this VERSE: jon you're a [censored] oh CHORUS: aren't you sorry that you left jon, left jon? aren't you sorry that you left all this? the anchovies are not dead yet, dead yet so suck on this VERSE: jon you're a idiot jon you're a putz jon you're a [censored] BRIDGE: yuck allen foster on bass ??? on bass CHORUS: aren't you sorry that you left jon, left jon? aren't you sorry that you left all this? the anchovies are not dead yet, dead yet bad choice, so suck on this left jon, left jon? left all this? left jon, left jon? left all this? This is the earliest recorded version of "Drizzle", which is a song that I later recorded for College Collage.
I wanted the music really moody, so I emulated The Cure.
This version crumbles at the end, and the lyrics are unfinished. However, there's a really nice texture here that we weren't able to recapture in later versions.
Lyrics to "Drizzle (1)":
[indistinct talking during early part] VERSE: it was a night just like any other night but what is was ??? it was playing hack ??? oh, this is the ??? bridge
