Tripecac (Travis Emmitt)

I purchased version 1 around 2002-02-04, and have upgraded to each version since then, with the exception of 6, which I skipped. I'm currently using version 8.3.1. Frankly, I think I could have stuck with 7 since 8 doesn't really add anything as far as my workflow is concerned.

I use Sonar to control my Korg Triton. Or vice-versa. The Triton is my controller and provides all the sounds and effects. Sonar is the sequencer and mixer. I've finished hundreds of songs with this setup and am happy with it.

I've written lots of tips for using the Triton with Sonar. Since many of them are Triton-specific (and of minimial interest to non-Triton users, I've put them on my Triton page. Check 'em out if you are curious.

I visited Billy in May 2001. He showed me his setup, which included Cakewalk Pro Audio. This was the first time I had seen a music program for the PC. I was accustomed to standalone keyboard workstations (like the Yamaha SY55 and Korg Triton.

A couple years ago Billy upgraded to Sonar. I'm not sure what version he is using now.
