Desktop Dungeons is an addictive little "coffee-break" game.

It's played on one map. When you beat the map for the first time, this opens up options for subsequent games. In this way, it has a "meta-game" component.

It's very difficult (at least for me), but pretty addictive. I am still trying to beat the game for the 2nd time in order to see what opens up next.

It took me a day or two to figure out how to win a second time. By that point, I hard started to get the hang of it. It then took be about a week to unlock all the rest of the races, classes, and dungeons. I still haven't beat all dungeons using all combinations, but the rewards for that are subtle.

Overall, I think this is a great 10-minute game, although I wouldn't call it a roguelike per se. It reminds me more of Puzzle Quest, to be honest. Regardless, it's very replayable, and gradually gets more complex (and interesting) the more you play.

Highly recommended!
