I tried A Quest Too Far today for the first time. It's a "coffee break" roguelike and also a 2010 7DRL.
You're an old man and your body is breaking down. You don't gain experience by killing anything, so you just gotta "plunge" downward toward where your grandkids are hidden.
The premise is unique, but overall, I find gameplay depressing. There's no sense of progress, just decay.
Has anyone actually found ways to heal yourself, besides the 2 potions of healing you start with? That might give the game more hope.
